A common question
The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code brings a single establishment registration in place of several older ones, for establishments it covers. States still run their own Shops and Establishments Acts.
Karnataka amended its Shops Act in 2026 so that establishments with ten or more workers registered under the OSH Code can be exempt. We check which registration applies to each of your premises.

Labour codes
Four labour codes replaced 29 central labour laws, including the PF, ESI, gratuity, bonus, minimum wages and contract labour Acts. Central rules were notified in 2026; state rules are still being notified.
