A common question
At minimum: profit and loss against budget, cash position and forecast, receivables and payables ageing, and three to five business KPIs. Comparisons matter more than raw numbers: against plan, against last month and against last year.
It should fit on a page or two and say in words what the numbers mean. A forty-page spreadsheet is a data dump, not a report.

The rules, in plain English

Questions we get asked
A management information system report: a regular summary of a company's financial and operating numbers for its managers, usually with comparisons to budget and to earlier periods.
On an agreed working day after the close, typically within the first two weeks; it depends on when your data is complete.
Yes. We pull from Tally Prime or Zoho Books, and set up cost centres or tags so the report comes straight from the books.
Usually only small changes: consistent account heads and tagging. We set those up once.
