Accounting & Bookkeeping
FinAura keeps your accounts in your own Zoho Books or Tally Prime. If you are starting fresh, we set it up properly: chart of accounts, GST and TDS, bank feeds, users and approvals. Then we keep the books current every month, so your software shows the real position whenever you open it.
What is covered
Software configured for your business, then kept current every month.
A new company file set up with the right financial year, GST and TDS settings, and opening balances.
Ledgers designed around how you report, not the software's default list.
Tax rates, HSN and SAC codes, and TDS sections set so returns come straight from the books.
Bank feeds or statement imports set up, with rules for recurring entries.
Users, roles and approvals set, and the audit trail checked to be on.
Once set up, the books kept current every month and reviewed by a Chartered Accountant.
How the month runs
Four steps from choosing the software to books that stay current.

A common question
Zoho Books runs in the cloud, works well for service businesses and startups, and connects easily to banks, payment gateways and other Zoho apps. Tally Prime is widely used across Indian businesses, handles inventory and manufacturing well, and most accountants already know it.
We work in both as implementation specialists, not as resellers, so the recommendation follows your business: how you sell, whether you hold stock, who needs access and from where.
See software and automationWho it is for
Starting on the right software, set up properly from the first invoice.
Proper books in software, with balances brought across.
Weighing a move to Zoho Books, or a cleaner Tally set-up.
Software checked and configured for the edit-log requirement.
The rules, in plain English
Companies Act, 2013
Every company keeps books of account that give a true and fair view of its affairs, at its registered office or another place the Board decides, and preserves them for at least the eight financial years before the current one.
Official source: mca.gov.inCompanies (Accounts) Rules, 2014
Books kept electronically must stay accessible in India at all times, with a daily back-up on servers physically in India. For financial years starting on or after 1 April 2023, the accounting software must keep an audit trail of every change that cannot be switched off.
Official source: mca.gov.inCGST Act, 2017
Every GST-registered business keeps its accounts and records at its principal place of business and retains them for 72 months from the due date of the annual return for that year, or longer while an appeal or proceeding is open.
Official source: cbic-gst.gov.inIncome-tax law
Businesses and professions above the prescribed limits must keep books of account, and a tax audit follows above further limits. The limits change from time to time, so we confirm which apply to you before the year starts.

Questions we get asked
No. We are implementation specialists who work in both. That keeps our recommendation about your business, not about a product.
Yes. Masters, open items and opening balances are moved across; history stays available in Tally. See software and automation for full migrations.
Current versions of Tally Prime include an edit log, and Zoho Books keeps an audit trail. We check it is switched on, since companies must keep one that cannot be disabled.
You do. The books sit in your own Zoho Books organisation or your own Tally licence; we work with access you grant.
Yes. Set-up and training can be a one-time project. Many clients then hand monthly bookkeeping to us as well.
