FEMA Reporting

Companies with foreign investors, and those investing abroad, report each transaction to the Reserve Bank. FinAura files FC-GPR when shares are issued to foreign investors and FC-TRS when shares change hands with them, coordinates the fair-value pricing, files the annual return on foreign liabilities and assets (FLA), and handles overseas direct investment reporting.

A common question

What happens if FEMA reporting is late?

Late reporting can be regularised by paying a late submission fee, but repeated or long delays can lead to compounding, which is slower and costlier.

Foreign investors and future acquirers check FEMA compliance closely, so it is worth getting each report filed within the time allowed.
