A common question

What does the POSH Act require of employers?

Employers with the number of employees the Act sets constitute an Internal Committee, with a senior woman employee as presiding officer and an external member, adopt a policy, display notices, run awareness programmes and file an annual report.

Companies also disclose POSH compliance in the board's report. Non-compliance carries penalties.
